Overvoltage refers to any voltage whose peak value is greater than the corresponding peak value of the maximum steady state voltage under normal operation. In engineering, it refers to any dangerous voltage that may cause damage to the equipment. Therefore, in the project, some overvoltages that are larger than the normal operating voltage but are insufficient to endanger the normal operation of the equipment are excluded.

When the motor is in normal operation, excessive reduction of the power supply voltage will cause the motor speed to drop or even stall. When the load torque is constant, the motor current will increase sharply and cause over-current. In addition, the voltage is too low will cause some electrical appliances to release, cause the control circuit to work abnormally, may have the accident. Therefore, it is necessary to cut off the power supply when the voltage drops to the minimum allowable value. This is undervoltage protection. Its task is mainly to prevent equipment from burning due to overload.
